The plain-English terms we work to: quotes, access, weather, insurance.
These terms apply to work carried out by Strong Arm Haulage Ltd, registered at 172 Gloucester Road, Bishopston, Bristol, England, BS7 8NU.
Quotes are based on the information you give us: weights, dimensions, addresses and access. They're valid for 30 days. If the job on the day differs materially from what was described (heavier load, harder access, obstacles not mentioned), the price may change, and we'll tell you before continuing.
You're responsible for accurate load information, for safe standing for the truck (firm, reasonably level ground), and for any permissions needed, for example a neighbour's agreement when a lift passes over their property, or landlord consent. Tell us about overhead cables, narrow lanes and soft ground when you book.
Crane work stops in high winds and other unsafe conditions. The operator's safety decision on the day is final. If weather stops a lift we'll rebook it with you promptly and without penalty.
If you cancel within 24 hours of the job, the full quoted price is payable.
We carry goods-in-transit insurance of £15,000 per tonne and public liability insurance of £5 million. Our liability is limited to the value of that cover. We take care with property (lawns, drives, walls) and will agree any protective measures with you before the lift.
Payment is due on completion of the work, unless we've agreed otherwise.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
